The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lucile Little can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Howard and Gloria Bass
Condolence: LUCILE,
For more than a century your light here has shone
So bright on earth and now it has gone.
Your light has faded, its beam we can't see,
but it still shines so brightly where we wish to be.
So rest there in heaven while we wait for our call
To the joyous reunion available to all.
Our hearts are so saddened by your absence down here,
But at the same time rejoicing as your memory brings cheer.
We will always love you, Howard and Gloria

Condolence: My dear sister. You made my life brighter and taught me many things in your long life. I remember as a small girl thinking I was going to be a majorette and you saw me twirling the cut off broom stick and bought me a baton to use. Did I feel I was Miss Hot Shot. You taught me your passion for reading and obtaining knowledge that helped me through life. Even though I got to know you much better after I retired, I prize the time I was able to spend with you shopping, and just being sisters. I will love you always. Your little sister "Chubby Lane"

Condolence: So sorry my Aunt Cile had to leave us but so happy she is now completely healed and is at rest. God be with the family in Florida that have been faithful to be by her side at all times. Their love is what, I think, made for such a long life. My Aunt Cile was always the most classy lady I knew, always so neat and beautiful to look at. Always laughed and was very witty. I can remember lots of times when we were smaller hearing her and my Mother (her sister) talking and laughing. It was a sweet sound for my little ears. We will always treasure our memories with our Aunt Cile. Love you forever, sweet lady. Bobbie

Condolence: Grandmother,
Your years here with us have been such an inspiration. Your class, your style, your quiet wisdom, your stories of years past, your wit, your beauty, your willingness to always listen and NEVER judge, your light up the room smile.....these are just a few of the memories we will always cherish! You are so beautiful in so many ways. You will be greatly missed and ALWAYS loved!!!

Condolence: Grandma, if you could gather us all in a room right now and give us one last message, I believe you would tell us....

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.

Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you,
and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.

Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just round the corner.

All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!
