Mary D. Bennett was born 10/04/1958 and departed this world on 11/20/2017 when she was welcomed with open arms into the kingdom of heaven, with no doubt the words, "Well done good and faithful servant". Mary lead her life by living as an example to others, by constantly serving the needs of those around her. She always saw the good in others and always gave without expecting anything in return. Her faith was beyond reproach as she led her life according to Romans 1:16 which reads "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes". Mary witnessed to everyone around her about Jesus. She was married to her loving husband, Scott Bennett for 28 years where they shared a great life of travel, fishing, and working around the house together with their three Border Collies. Mary also believed strongly in family and friends while she spent countless holidays with Jimmy & Sharon Bennett and Jack & Janet Olsen in addition to many others. Mary attended First Baptist Church for 20 years and later transferred to Chet's Creek Church where she and Scott were members for the past 8 years. She is preceded in death by her mother Esther Lynn Parks and is survived by her husband Scott Bennett, her Father Bill Thompson, her brothers Bill and John Thompson, Mother in law Peggie Bennett and Sister in law Sabrina Bennett. She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew her and by all her many friends and family.
