Jolyn Cayaba Abando, 48, daughter of Jovencio and Evelyn Romero Cayaba, who was born, January 30, 1969 in Manila, Philippines passed away December 28, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center Downtown in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jolyn completed her Elementary and High School education at Victoria School Foundation and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce at The University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She worked at Vystar Credit Union as a Member Service Representative. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, America Chapter and a great supporter of the Arlington Lodge #309 Free & Accepted Masons, Jacksonville Scottish Rite and Morocco Shrine with her husband Mel Abando. She is an avid collector of Hello Kitty and loves her diet coke.

Jolyn was preceded in death by her Father Jovencio Cayaba, and Father in Law, Venancio Abando.

She is survived by; Mel Abando (husband), Michael (son), Morgan (step-daughter), Evelyn Romero (mother), Natividad Abando (mother in law), and a large family of close relatives and friends.

The family will receive guests for a Visitation and Celebration of Life Service to take place at 10:00 to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 03, 2018 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 with Brother Pui Tang officiating.
