Ranell Janine Stanley

February 14, 1981 - December 5, 2017


Ranell Janine Stanley, age 36, daughter of James and Janine Bouchard Stanley, who was born, February 14, 1981 in Meridian, Mississippi passed away Tuesday December 5, 2017 at Community Hospice Center in Riverside in Jacksonville, Florida.

Ranell received her AA in chemistry from Florida State College, Jacksonville and was attending Jacksonville University to complete her education before she became ill. She was an accomplished ballet dancer and had appeared in several stage productions of the Jacksonville Ballet Theatre under the direction of Dulce Anaya. She played guitar and had appeared onstage in a production sponsored by Girls Rock! Jacksonville. Ranell had been taking figure skating lessons at the Jacksonville Ice and Sportsplex and continued lessons after her diagnosis in 2014. She continued ice skating after treatment until she was no longer able to do so.
Ranell worked as a part-time receptionist at the PGA Tour Travel offices in Ponte Vedra Beach while attending school and continued to do so for over 10 years. She considered her fellow staff members there as her second family.

Ranell was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Irving J. and Delores L. (Dickey) Stanley as well as her maternal grandparents Renald W. and Lorraine A. (Bernier) Bouchard and her uncle Renald W. Bouchard, II.

She is survived by her parents, James D. and Janine L. (Bouchard) Stanley, her brother and his wife, Christopher J. and Billlie (Faircloth) Stanley their two sons, Christopher and Kellan, her aunts, Denise E. Bouchard and Claudette A. (Bouchard) Pollard and cousins; Renald W. Bouchard, III, Robert W. Bouchard, Nadyne (Pollard) Bentley, Reyleen (Pollard) Mayhue, Claudette (Pollard) Justus, Gloria (Pollard) Mason, John T. Pollard and Jacob T. Pollard as well as myriad grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place graveside, at 2 PM Wednesday December 13, 2017 in Arlington Park Cemetery with Pastor George Spencer officiating.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org).
